On October 20, Grade 6 and 7 students from J. Alfred Laird, Edgewater, Windermere, and Martin Morigeau elementary schools came together to have a soccer jamboree in Invermere.  This event was coordinated by the Windermere zone elementary athletics teachers and big thanks goes to Mr. P and J. Alfred Laird for hosting. 

For students, it was an awesome afternoon of playing soccer and meeting other kids from neighbouring communities.  This event was planned to help increase students’ sense of belonging -  a goal identified by these four schools.  By meeting students from other schools this will also help students transition from their elementary schools to their high school.
