Through partnership with the College of the Rockies, high school students can get a jump start on a post-secondary education ... with the added benefit of having their tuition fees paid!

Schedule an appointment with your school Counsellor or Principal to explore potential pathways. 

Through partnership with College of the Rockies, academic dual credit is available through courses of study in these Programs:

Interested in a career in office administration?  Start your journey while you are still in high school!

  • Multiple starting points in a school year
  • On-line for greatest flexibility
  • Access to qualified instructors for help

The courses are currently based on a minimum of 15 hours per week, which could be adjusted to fit a high school student’s schedule.

Through partnership with College of the Rockies, Youth Train in the Trades is an array of skilled trades programming available for Grade 11 and 12 high school students. 

Students can get a head start on a skilled trades apprenticeship program AND earn high school graduation credits at the same time.  Not only will students get a head start in training, but also they will save money on their post secondary education!

  • Youth Work in Trades program, jointly supported by the Ministry of Education and Child Care and SkilledTradesBC, allows students to begin apprenticeship training as part of their secondary school education. This program combines paid work-based training and a provincial curriculum that focuses on connecting, applying, reflecting on, and refining workplace skills and safety, work ethic, and job readiness. 

  • Students enrolled in Youth Work in Trades earn up to 480 work-based training hours required for provincially and nationally recognized industry trades credentials.
